From 2012 to 2013, during her Master’s training, Hermann worked with a long-term care center in Chicago, performing clinical assessments, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, and creating a wellness therapy group. As a Survivorship Clinical Social Worker, she provides counseling, facilitates individual and family therapy, performs clinical assessments and recommends interventions.
“Using solution-focused techniques, I help patients recognize barriers to their goals and find ways to overcome them one step at a time,” says Hermann.
Outside of CTCA, Hermann enjoys spending time with her children and many animals, hiking, knitting and jogging.
These technologies are used as tools, not to expose herself, but to expose the language of communication used in contemporary life for connecting people across an alienating digital divide.
